What is CBD?

CBD is a non-psychotropic cannabinoid compound with enormous therapeutic potential.

CBD is a natural chemical compound contained in the flower of the cannabis plant. CBD is just one of the 113 chemical compounds that are collectively referred to as cannabinoids or phyoto-cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are also naturally found in the chemical make-up of mammals (endogenous cannabinoids). Humans have a special system of receptors that respond to cannabinoids we have receptors in high quantities in the brain and in our major joints. So wht this means is that our bodies produce cannabinoids naturally, So if you take CBD supplement you are going to induce more CBD than you have naturally which has been shown to have many therapeutic benefits.

CBD in the cannabis plant forms in the flower, leaves and stem but primarily in the flower, along with other cannabinoids such as the most famous cannabinoid THC. THC is the chemical compound that has psychoactive effects and will make you feel intoxicated or “stoned”. Both CBD and THC occur naturally in cannabis plants but when people grow cannabis for CBD products they grow hemp cannabis because hemp cannabis has high quantities of CBD and very low quantities of THC. The cannabis that is high in THC is marijuana cannabis, this strain has high amounts of THC and lower amounts of CBD
